With over 80 years’ experience in our workroom of making hand made lined and interlined roman blinds, and a growing reputation in the industry and on the web for tackling the out of the ordinary, we are receiving more and more requests to produce ever larger roman blinds for our interior design and private clients. Making an extra wide, extra long roman blind is a highly skilled exercise and one which most soft furnishings suppliers have neither the expertise nor inclination to undertake.
With bi-fold and sliding doors in particular, a single blind makes a much more pleasing aesthetic than two or three blinds – put simply it looks tidier, but also helps with acoustics, draught and solar shading during the day.
The blinds featured on this page are well over 3metres wide by around 2.5metres drop, but we are currently working on even larger, motorised roman blinds for a client in Oxford.
