City Apartment Soft Furnishings
A few months ago we were asked by one of our interior design clients to supply soft furnishings for a client living in Redcliffe Gardens, West London. The apartment had undergone substantial refurbishment and the two bedrooms required entirely new soft furnishings – the idea being to create a relaxed look with washed linens.
However even relaxed looks require precise planning and execution – under the watchful eye of an exacting client!
Bespoke Upholstered Headboards
For the beds in each bedroom we made bespoke upholstered headboards. Each headboard comprises square linen panels, sewn together to form the distinctive panelled effect you see above and below, with the fabric punctured with invisible stitches to create the punctured look without having to use buttons.
Matching Linen Bedspread with Contrast Borders
We also made linen bed covers with contrast borders, and a roman blind for the Master Bedroom in Hermes Jardin D’Ossier Inprime Emeraud. The roman blind was fabricated on a shamfered pelmet board so that the blind fit perfectly in the shamfered recess (without unsightly gaps at the side).
Bespoke bed valances in the same linen hide the bed bases in each room.
