How to buy curtains

Step 1: the indicative quote

First of all, we like to give you an idea of our prices – so that you can then decide whether or not a Moghul Consultation is right for you. Pick something you like from our fabric gallery and contact us with some approximate window measurements and we will provide you with an indicative quote.

Step 2: the consultation

Home Consultation: Once you’ve decided you would like to book a Home Consultation we will put you in touch with your nearest Consultant to arrange a date and time that best suits you.

As long as we have a Consultant relatively close by, your initial Home Consultation is free of charge. Your local Consultant will visit you with all of our fabrics, help you to decide which fabrics to choose, and take all necessary measurements. Our Consultants also offer more in depth interior design advice through our Home Design Service if required. Prices for this service start at £95 plus VAT for 2 rooms. Online Consultation: If we don’t have a Consultant covering your area, or you’d prefer not to book a Home Consultation just yet, you might like to try our Online Consultation service. The Online Consultation is designed to give you all the benefit of our knowledge and experience without us actually visiting you.

Helping you make the right decisions: Choosing your curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings is really fun and straight forward when you have someone experienced on hand to help you make the right choices. During your Home or Online Consultation we’ll help you:

Fabrics

• choose from our range of over 600 cotton, silk, crewel and linen fabrics.

For curtains:

• choose from one of our range of headings or pelmets
• choose from our light, medium or heavy weight interlining, and from our range of 100% cotton linings and blackout linings
• add an individual touch, with a piping for your pelmet, or a border for your curtain
• browse our catalogue of extensive curtain and blind accessories, from our beautiful range of wood and metal poles and finials, and bespoke bay window silent gliss poles and tracks, to our extensive range of tie backs and hold backs

For blinds:

• Choose from our range of traditional or modern blind mechanisms. Whilst this is largely an aesthetic issue, practical considerations come into play, and we can advise you which mechanism would work best in the circumstances
• Add an individual touch with a border of your choice

Step 3: the quotation

We will provide a no obligation, free quotation. We are happy to quote for a number of different options, if you are struggling between different fabrics, or accessories. After that it’s totally up to you to decide whether to proceed with an order.

Step 4: submitting your order

We require a 50% deposit on submission of your order.

Step 5: delivery and installation

At Moghul we have a 4 to 5 week turnaround from submission of order to completion of your product. Once we have submitted your order, we will be in contact to arrange a date for delivery, or for one of our team to fit your curtains, poles, tracks and/or blinds
